This October, Greenway Court Theatre hosted Ghost Stories: The Dead Can’t Dance, an immersive multimedia matinee integrating storytelling, song, and dance that features ghost stories from across different cultures. This production was also the focus of this year’s GreenwayREADS program in which students from participating classrooms across LAUSD attended the matinee. Students also had the opportunity to interact with the actors and actresses from the show by asking questions and sharing their opinions!

This month also marked the beginning of rehearsals for the upcoming winter showcase, Monsters and Mistletoe: A Holiday Showdown. The showcase will take place on Wednesday, December 4th at 4:00 PM and 6:30 PM, featuring our after-school programming students who will be performing popular songs and scenes from both the Halloween and Christmas seasons.

On October 27th, Greenway Dance Company made an appearance at the Greenway Main Stage at Melrose Trading Post as part of their annual Dog Costume Contest! The talented dance team performed two hula numbers for MTP patrons while they awaited the dog contest results.

On October 31st, Greenway’s students participated in Halloween festivities such as showing off their costumes, Halloween-themed activities, and enjoying candy. Happy Halloween!
