GAA Team Update: Hellos, Goodbyes, & Staff Picks!

July is often a period of transition at Greenway Arts Alliance, as the time when our new fiscal year begins.

As we move into the 2025-2026 fiscal year, we are excited to welcome some new staff members as well as bid farewell to those moving on to their next professional adventure.

Farewell to Jose Ramos

Jose enjoys a sign of his iconic slogans!

Greenway is going to dearly miss our Administrative Associate Jose! For the past several years, Jose has helped behind the scenes as the Administrative Associate across the different departments of Greenway. Jose has actually been involved in Greenway since 2017, when he was hired at at Melrose Trading Post as a Fairfax Student event staff member!

The staff threw a surprise farewell party in the Greenway Court Theatre kitchen with snacks and celebration, sharing their favorite memories of Jose. We wish him the best in his future endeavors!

We are excited to welcome Emily as our new Administrative Associate, who is also a Fairfax Alumni and has previously been part of the MTP Operations Team.

We are so excited to have 2 amazing interns joining the Greenway Team this year through the LACAC Internship Program!

Frankie is the Producing & Arts Education College Intern, working with both Greenway Court Theatre and Greenway Institute for the Arts. Meanwhile, Tory is the Marketing & Vendor Relations College Intern for Melrose Trading Post.

Introducing Our Greenway Staff Picks

This month we launched our Greenway Staff Picks Column, where staff from across the three departments of Greenway Arts Alliance – including the Melrose Trading Post staff as well as team members from Greenway Court Theatre and Greenway Institute for the Arts – highlight their favorite vendors in the market! Mahagany, Jose, and Tory are among the staff members featured so far.
