1997 – The Beginning –
Our journey started in the Fall of 1997.
Whitney Weston and Pierson Blaetz, the founders of Greenway Arts Alliance, proposed the concept of establishing a partnership between their arts nonprofit and Fairfax High.
On Sunday, October 26, 1997, the weekly flea market known as the Melrose Trading Post debuted with the participation of student volunteers and approximately 75 vendors.
