Fairfax Students Take Over MTP

The Fairfax Student Market Takeover made for an unforgettable Sunday!

On May 6th, students from Fairfax High School dazzled Melrose Trading Post (MTP) market goers with science, swag, and singing.

The Main Stage performances featured student singers, bands, and an ensemble cast showing off their chops in a snippet from the school’s spring production, Fame Jr. The food court was buzzing with activity for the entire day, with the open, interactive science fair tents and a booth selling “STRAIGHT OUTTA FAIRFAX” merch to true Fairfax fanatics.

Greenway was especially excited and proud to announce the three winners of its annual scholarship. These graduating seniors received our prizes: Maricarmen Solis Diaz- $4,000; Christina Carrera-$2,000; Astou Mbacke- $2,000.

The students really outdid themselves this year! Stay tuned for more on how GIA and MTP promote expression, entrepreneurship, and experiments at FHS.
